Description
- Meticulously crafted battle-bloodied plank Viking shield, as seen on Vikings Valhalla. Plank shields of this style were usually worn in close combats but also placed on the sides of Viking ships to protect the raiders from the distant hail or arrows, like the famous Gokstad ship, which dates from the 10th century.
- The shield is made out of 15mm thick birch plywood, painted, and varnished by hand. Includes steel hand-hammered umbo and braces. It comes with a wood handlebar installed on the back.
- This shield can be used as a decorative wall hanger or as a functional piece for medieval reenactment or LARP.
- Size - 24 inches in diameter (61 cm)
- Weight - 8 pounds (3.5 kg)
- Because these are handmade products made with natural wood planks the sizes, textures and overall appearance may vary slightly from the photos displayed.
