There was a saying in ancient Greece, either come back with your shield or on it. This saying shows how much importance the Greeks gave to their shields. Typically made from wood reinforced bronze, these shields were meant to protect the whole body, while still allowing the Hoplites to continue fighting. These shields were most effectively used in a phalanx, the classic Greek battle formation. This movie inspired replica is cast with modern materials like fiberglass reinforced resin and hand painted to give a very authentic worn bronze look. Unlike bronze this shield will be looking sharp for years to come. Comes with a chain to hang on a wall or straps when you want to carry her into battle.
